Presentation notes
Add delivery reminders to your teleprompter script
Add pause, expression, and eye-contact reminders in PromptFy. Style presentation notes that scroll with the script without appearing in the video.
How the tool works
Before recording, attach a short reminder to a script paragraph: pause, smile, look at the camera, or use your own wording. There are 20 searchable suggestions, custom reminders with emojis, and a preview with independent text and background colors, opacity, size, and icon choices.
The notes scroll with the teleprompter and can appear during editor narration. They stay separate from spoken text: they do not become video overlays, captions, or generated speech. If a text change removes or makes their paragraph ambiguous, the editor asks you to review the attachment before saving.
Build it step by step
Open the script editor and its presentation-notes sheet. Choose a real paragraph as the anchor before writing or styling the reminder.
- Add one reminder for a specific delivery choice, such as a brief pause or looking at the camera.
- Choose from the suggestions or write your own short instruction with an emoji if helpful.
- Adjust text, background, opacity, size, and icon until the preview is easy to recognize.
- Save the script and notes together, then rehearse the passage at the intended scrolling mode.
- After rewriting the script, review any note whose paragraph was deleted or became ambiguous.
An example to adapt
Illustrative exercise: a tutorial introduces a common mistake and then reveals its correction. Attach a pause reminder before the correction so the transition has room to land.
Add an eye-contact reminder before the closing sentence. Keep it short enough to recognize without reading another full sentence, and do not add a cue to every paragraph merely because the option is available.
Check before finishing
A reminder is separate from private general notes, spoken text, and post-production text overlays. Use a video text tool if the audience needs to see the instruction. Deleting or replacing a paragraph can require reassigning a note; review that association before saving a rewritten script.
The timeline editor requires Starter or above. Check the app for current feature access and purchase options before planning your edit.
Frequently asked questions
Do reminders appear in the exported video?
No. They are presenter guidance and do not become captions, video text, or generated speech.
Can I choose my own reminder?
Yes. Use custom wording and the available appearance controls rather than only a suggested instruction.
Can I use the notes while narrating?
They can appear in the editor’s narration reading flow, separate from the recorded voice.
