A clear idea does not always become a clear take. You can know what you want to say and still lose your place, rush the opening, or look away from the camera to check your notes. Then comes the work of finding the right take and preparing it to share.

PromptFy connects those steps in one iPhone app. The script stays part of the recording workflow, and the video stays connected to the script that produced it. The aim is simple: let you spend more attention on what you are saying.

Start with your words. Get help when you need it.

Write a script yourself, bring in a draft, or use AI-assisted script generation to get a starting point. Edit the result into language you would actually say out loud. Short sentences and intentional pauses make a better reading experience than a paragraph written for a page.

Before recording, adjust the text size and placement for your setup. PromptFy supports manual, automatic, and voice-follow scrolling. Voice-follow mode uses your speech to advance the text; it still pays to rehearse a short passage in the room where you will record.

Stay in the frame

Read the script over the camera preview while recording. Adjust the prompt panel so your eyes stay close to the lens, and use framing guidance and social-media safe areas to keep the composition deliberate. Recording settings depend on the capabilities of your iPhone.

The Apple Watch companion gives you play, pause, and speed controls without reaching for the phone. It is useful when the camera is on a tripod and you want to stay in position between takes.

Give the take a second pass

Recording is only part of the job. PromptFy includes automatic captions that you can edit and translate, plus video editing and background-removal tools. Review the words, timing, and frame before exporting: generated captions and AI edits are starting points for your judgment.

These tools serve different parts of the same workflow. You may only need a clean talking-head clip with captions. Another project may call for a different background or translated subtitles. Choose the finishing steps that help the audience understand the video.

Use a simple structure for your first take: a familiar problem, one useful idea, and a clear next step. Here is an illustrative opening you can adapt to your own subject.
